The Bridgeport Firefighters' Historical Society was created to gather, preserve and share the heritage and history of firefighting.

Though the organization was started by members of the Bridgeport, Connecticut Fire Department, our interests reach well beyond our city's borders. To accomplish this, we take interest in all topics on firefighting from any community - but especially subjects originating in Connecticut.

We are currently operating out of Fire Headquarters: 30 Congress St, Bridgeport, Connecticut. 06604. Here, we have collected & preserved photos, written documents, artifacts, equipment & other such historically significant items. Please use our email link on this page to contact us with regard to information, donations, membership or any other topics.

Would you like to make a comment or ask a question? Do you have something to share with us? We can be reached at bptfirehistory@juno.com. All questions, comments, ideas and contributions are welcome.
